Wanted to do this for a longtime but kept this aside always. So Signers club- what is this?
Sounds quite different- doesn't it.. well the signers club is a group of deaf and hearing people who use sign language[ here we will be focusing more on Indian Sign Language]. We are not a formally set up group but we decided to name ourselves as the Signers Club because it seemed very apt for us.
What do we do ...
- advocate use of sign language for the Deaf
- popularize the use of sign language for the Deaf
- work on Deaf Empowerment
- educate society on issues related to Deafness and its impact on the life of a Deaf individual.
I will share experiences of Deaf adults, kids and professionals working with Deaf here, to give you a glimpse of the Deaf world. So keep watching this space for some more ....
